It is no secret that when you feel good, it should be obvious to you and those around you. A healthy, happy attitude is typically visible. It is also evident in the quality of your interaction with other people. Making the most of your health can also help you make the most of your life personally, professionally and socially.

To find healthy people with a great outlook on life, Monday morning is a great place to look. And if you are looking for Geno Fuksman on Monday morning, you better start early. Geno and his wife Lena, like many people in the Kansas City area, own their own business. They run Geno’s Clothiers in Park Place of Leawood.

People who shop at Geno’s know a few certainties about the store. First, Geno, Lena or often both, are typically there to greet their customers personally. They are sharp dressers, and their taste is well represented through popular, stylish, high-quality merchandise. You will also find a friendly attitude at Geno’s Clothiers.

Geno does a great job of serving his clientele. He keeps up with the taste, style and needs of his customers. And, he is always selling. Like many successful family owned businesses, Geno’s Clothiers is a reflection of its owners. If you go to Geno’s, you expect to see Geno or Lena most of the time. You expect to see quality and friendliness the minute you enter the store.

Geno knows well the energy and enthusiasm required to own your own company. The hours are never short, and the responsibilities run deeper than a regular job. So how does Geno remain so enthusiastic? It is important that he loves what he does. It is also helpful that he embraces a positive, healthy, active lifestyle.

Early each morning you can find Geno at the gym working away; typically before most people leave the house. He comes with a friend, and while they are great pals, they are competitive. They keep each other working to achieve their best. The minimum amount of exercise that most doctors recommend is a 30-45 minute workout several times a week. With Geno, he far surpasses that. A typical workout for him each weekday and most weekends is three hours, adding up to 60 to 80 hours per month.

When you meet Geno in his store, it is easy to notice that he is physically fit. It is also easy to see that his physical fitness translates directly to the smile on his face. His demeanor is pleasant, and he maintains a great attitude throughout the week. In short, Geno does not take life, work or exercise half way. He believes that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing right.

We also know that a balanced, successful life requires more than just work and exercise. Geno and Lena are also avid travelers. Born in Eastern Europe, they are no strangers to travel. They know where to go to find pleasant ports of call. And, they often can be seen traveling with family and friends across North American and Europe.

Geno and Lena love the Kansas City attractions as well. They are great fans of many things PB&J. PB&J restaurants that is. Paul and Pat Khoury are also Kansas City area business owners, with many dining concepts in Kansas City and beyond. It is not unusual to see the Fuksmans out with friends at one of the Khoury owned establishments.

Like any loyal Kansas City resident, Geno is an avid sports fan.  Sports is a universal language in Kansas City, and it’s unusual to find one of Geno’s customer families that does not enjoy some form of sports and outdoor activities. Geno loves the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. In fact, he sells a bit of their merchandise in his store, along with select K-State, KU and Mizzou specialty items. In addition to his love of Kansas City professional sports, Geno is also an avid fan of KU Jayhawks basketball.
