Finding Peace, Healing and Beauty

Stepping into Ananda Skin & Soul in the heart of the city feels like opening a door to something ancient, timeless, and quietly profound. There is no neon sign, no multi-tasking receptionist, no chatter of waiting clients. Instead, guests arrive by referral and appointment only, press an intercom, and are welcomed into a beautifully tranquil space designed not to impress, but to heal.
Ananda, meaning “unconditional love from God,” encapsulates the vision and soul of its founder, Firoozeh Noroozi. With more than 23 years in the field, Firoozeh did not open her doors to become a beauty trendsetter, nor to ride the wave of the latest wellness buzzword. “I wanted to create a place that helped people truly heal and feel beautiful,” she recalls simply. “And I think I’ve done that.”

The Journey Inward:
What Makes Healing Profound

Most clients, upon their first visit, remark that Ananda Skin & Soul feels radically different from any spa they’ve known. The intention is palpable—the gentle hush, the curated simplicity, the warm but understated decor. “I believe healing begins the moment you decide to step away from noise and obligation,” she says. “When you honor yourself enough to choose rest, you’ve already started the work. My hope is that Ananda feels like a sanctuary to remind you of that.”
Caring for skin is inseparable from caring for the soul. “Skin is a reflection of our inner self. Dermatitis, rosacea, and many other conditions stem from inflammation—often rooted deep in our emotional lives. If we focus only on symptoms, we miss the cause. Transferring energy through healing touch quiets that inflammation. When we work at this level, true transformation becomes possible.”

“Our skin is the reflection of our lives; it tells our story without words. Stress, joy, sleep, nutrition, and most importantly our emotions all leave their marks. We need to nurture our soul, then skin shines back that balance and harmony.”

The Science and Mystery of Energy Work

Although she is trained in Reiki and regularly performs energy work during her sessions, she keeps this practice quietly in the background. “Most of my clients don’t know I’m doing it—and that’s intentional,” she explains. “This place is not about me. My role is to listen—to the client, to their skin, and to what wants to be healed. My hands have learned to follow that guidance.”
Scientists are just beginning to understand the interconnection between the mind, skin, and the immune system. Chronic emotional stress, she explains, creates physiological changes that disrupt skin barrier function and trigger inflammatory responses. “When a client is truly heard and cared for, their whole system relaxes. Healing becomes easier. It’s those intangible moments—quiet reflection, an exhale of relief after years of tension—that change skin at its deepest level.”
She offers an analogy: “Imagine your skin as a messenger, not a canvas to be corrected. If you can listen to what it’s really saying, you’ll find wisdom about how you care for yourself. So many people seek spa treatments to fix a particular issue, but what they really need is permission to stop fighting with themselves. The path to beautiful skin always begins with kindness—inside and out.”

The Quiet Revolution of Clean, Mindful Skincare

Ananda Skin & Soul is not about selling products or winning over clients with dramatic “before and after’s,” although the results are dramatic. Her philosophy of clean and effective products is shaped by two decades of personal observation and research. “Our skin is porous—we must be as thoughtful about what we put on our bodies as what we put inside them,” she says. On her shelves, you’ll only find products from Comfort Zone—formulas rooted in both science and sustainability, without harmful ingredients.
“Skincare isn’t just or primarily about correcting imperfections—it’s about honoring the body you’ve been given. I believe everyone deserves products that are both safe and genuinely effective, supporting the skin’s health and longevity long-term. When you use products thoughtfully, each ritual becomes a gesture of care—one that helps your skin to look and feel its best, year after year.”

The Sacred Trust of Touch

What truly sets Ananda apart, clients say, is the palpable sense of safety and peace. Firoozeh spends time connecting deeply with each person—in silence, in touch, or just by presence. “Facials are not just for the skin. They are also for emotional healing, calming, relief, and rejuvenation,” she notes. Her healing touch goes beyond manual techniques, as she subtly transfers positive energy that soothes inflammation and nurtures the skin’s natural balance. “This energy transference, rooted in the principles of Reiki, helps ground clients in the present moment and amplify their body’s innate healing capacity. It is this profound connection through touch and energy that helps clients feel truly restored and renewed.”
At the heart of her practice is a sacred trust—honoring each person as uniquely beautiful. During every treatment, I combine skilled touch with subtle energy healing, creating an experience that soothes the skin and calms the spirit. Ananda is a refuge from the busy world, a space where clients can relax, recharge, and reconnect with themselves. I feel deeply grateful to be part of these moments of renewal and radiant balance, where outer glow meets inner peace.
Clients comment on “a sense of peace”—something ineffable that lingers in their mood, their relationships, and their willingness to care for themselves in a new way. She explains, “I just create a space where people remember how to heal themselves. That’s the real work—the work no machine or product can replicate.”

Going Deeper: Beauty as an Act of Devotion

Her ethos is quietly radical in a culture obsessed with quick fixes and perpetual self-improvement. “Skin care is an act of devotion, not duty,” she says. “It’s showing up for yourself with gentleness—especially on the hard days. When you learn to listen deeply to your skin, you are actually learning to listen to your soul.”

A Return to Wholeness

Three years into running her own studio, she is content to keep Ananda Skin & Soul intentionally small, quietly sustained by word of mouth and genuine relationships.
“Some people think bigger is better. For me, depth matters more than breadth. I want everyone who comes here to feel like they are returning to themselves. I want the space and the energy in the space to remain peaceful and be able to give clients the time they deserve.”
When asked what she hopes clients take away, she pauses. “Maybe just a little more softness—with themselves, with their journey, with the lives they return to after leaving here. If we can offer that, I think that’s enough.”
And so, tucked into an unassuming building, behind a discreet intercom, Ananda Skin & Soul hums quietly—a hidden sanctuary where beauty and healing are not commodities but birthrights, and where every appointment is both a ritual and a refuge. The skin glows, yes; but perhaps more importantly, so does the soul.
“Our skin is the reflection of our lives; it tells our story without words. Stress, joy, sleep, nutrition, and most importantly our emotions all leave their marks. We need to nurture our soul, then skin shines back that balance and harmony.”
That’s why in her practice she integrates skincare with Reiki energy healing. For her true skincare is about healing both the skin and the soul!
